We are Don's Book Store, a family-owned book shop located in Albuquerque, New Mexico for over 50 years. Don's Book Store opened as a little tiny shop on Central across from the fairgrounds in 1971. Owner Don Pierce saw his little shop

We are Don's Book Store, a family-owned book shop located in Albuquerque, New Mexico for over 50 years. Don's Book Store opened as a little tiny shop on Central across from the fairgrounds in 1971. Owner Don Pierce saw his little shop quickly outgrow the small store front in a few short months. He soon built the shop where Don's is still standing.
Today, at Don's Book Store, we have over 250,000 well organized paperback and hardback books. You can recycle your previously read books and get paperback credit. You can then choose from thousands of books and get many of those for as little as a $1 each.

Kids also always come first at Don's! We ask that our patrons make room for kids under 18 who would like to look - please allow them first pick and even help them find books if you get the chance. That is how we grow the next generation of readers.
