We are Don's Book Store, a family-owned book shop located in Albuquerque, New Mexico for over 54 years. Don's Book Store opened as a little tiny shop on Central across from the fairgrounds in 1971. Owner Don Pierce saw his little shop quickly outgrow the small store front in a few short months. He soon built the shop where Don's is still standing.

Today, at Don's Book Store, we have over 250,000 well organized paperback and hardback books. You can recycle your previously read books and get paperback credit. You can then choose from thousands of books and get many of those for as little as a $1 each.

DON'S CURRENT BOOK CLUB:

LADIES, CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE BOOK CLUB!

FIRST SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH  AT 6pm

Next One - October 3rd

At Don's, we realize not every book is suited to every person,  and quite frankly we often just drop out of what becomes the Club of Obligated Reading. Instead, you can join our  Choose Your Own Book Club. On the appointed date, we will all meet at the shop with the books we want to share in hand. We shall drink wine and eat cheese and tell each other what we liked about our books.  Then we just exchange the books back and forth until we have something new we want to read. There will be a great variety of genres to be sure and something new for everyone to try. There is no charge to participate, but the one caveat is the willingness to accept that the book may or may not come back to you.
